Full-scale test of Bypass Rockfall Protection draws strong interest.

This week, Bypass AS hosted a new full-scale test of our innovative rockfall protection solution, Bypass Rockfall Protection.

The event brought together the Committee for transport and mobility in Vestland County Council, along with several invited guests, to witness the live demonstration.

The test clearly demonstrated how Bypass Rockfall Protection is designed to protect both lives and critical infrastructure from rockfalls.

35 tests conducted

During the demonstration, we dropped rocks weighing 100 kg and 1000 kg from a height of 30 meters — first onto cars and then onto Bypass Rockfall Protection. This allowed participants to see firsthand how effectively our energy absorption technology works. To date, we have conducted over 35 such tests at our site.

After the demonstration, guests were invited inside for further discussion and reflection.

Overwhelmingly positive feedback

Bypass offers a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional rockfall protection, with quick installation and minimal environmental impact.

Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many politicians expressing a desire to see faster implementation of innovations like this.
